Naphthenic Acids

The composition of naphthenic acids varies greatly depending on the starting product. Due to their corrosive properties on the conveying and production equipment, they are undesirable in crude oil, which contains up to 4% naphthenic acids. The melting point of naphthenic acids is in the range of -35 to +2°C, the boiling point in the range of 140 to 370°C. STB GmbH has developed mechanical seals for naphthenic acids with the lowest possible heat generation.

This enables us to reduce the heat input through the mechanical seal. There are various concepts which can present to you for this purpose.
