Its primary consideration are its pumping fluids, among others these are mostly mineral oils, crude oils and fuels. The seal ring consists of Carbon B while the stationary seat consists of chromium cast. The secondary seal (elastomer) is made of NBR (Nitril-Butadien-Rubber) and the spring material is 1.4310 CrNiMo Steel. The appropriate case is produced in Steel 1.4310 as well. In addition, the STB GmbH offers a tribological optimization of the mechanical seal pairs, where the stationary seat consist of tungsten carbide. The position number of the mechanical seal on the Blackmer TX series is always 153. Mechanical seals for TXD3E and TXS3E pumps are worldwide ready to deliver a few days after order. The TXD 3E is mostly installed in tank trucks and tank farms to carry a variety of media in refueling of ships, aircraft and motor vehicles. Such media may be any mineral oil products, for example gasoline, kerosene, diesel or biological fluids. Therefore, the requirements for the sealing components are very high, which can be met with the versatile material combinations. The combination of the sealing surfaces is crucial over the life of the seal and the equipment.
If chemically aggressive fluids are conveyed, carbon / SiC are suitable as sliding surface pairing. For water or crude oil production use carbon / tungsten carbide.
